*I haven't lost any more weight
*I gained back the few pounds I've lost
*I think it's time to start with a realistic exercise and weight loss plan that I can STICK with before I end up with diabetes or heart disease
*Eating this snack of cookies and milk is not a good start
* We've looked at a LOT more houses since Feb 22nd!
*Almost put an offer on a house, but realized the living room and kitchen just wouldn't work for us......I was purely buying it for the 3-car garage and central air
*Fast forward two months......Ma and went looking at open houses and found an AMAZING house with 3 bedrooms, a tv room, HUGE master bath, 3-car garage, central air......and it was lowered $30,000 to $264,900....and the seller is motivated!
*Put in an offer for the above-mentioned house which Steve and I absolutely fell in love with. It's been on the market for SIX months so we started really low. The seller countered and we countered his counter. ......he won't budge below $259,900. We could pay that much for the house, but we just don't want to. So, we're letting him just take a few days and think about the fact that this is the first offer he's had in 6 months and he won't find the "perfect" buyer in the current market.
*Really bummed out about the house. REALLY like it....everything about it is absolutely perfect. =(
*Starting to house shop again and drove around today with Ma found a couple of great places!
*Found one for a steal at $239,000 with a great living room, breakfast nook AND formal dining room, nice large master bed and bath, and two other bed rooms and a 2nd bathroom. Small 2-car garage, so that's a bummer. But it DOES have central air! =)
*Ew, my snack is NOT agreeing with my stomach. *moan*
*The second house is quite a bit more at $259,000 but it has tons of upgrades.....BEAUTIFUL kitchen with dark granite counter tops and stainless steal & black appliances, nice oak floor in the living/dining area. HUGE master bedroom and a gorgeous master bath with a huge walk-in shower and lots of great custom tile work. It also has a bonus room which could be turned into a formal dining room or an office. I love love love love love the kitchen in this one and the overall modern feel (the first house is ALL beige and more of a country look). Two bummers: no laundry room and the master bedroom is right up against the living room which we were trying to avoid.
*Sitting here explaining the houses is totally making up my mind. I want the $239,000. It has a great layout and a wonderful flow. Knock out part of the wall in the kitchen to open it up a bit and add some dark, non-porous counter tops and we're on our way!
*Kyle is working his ass off cleaning the garage and I'm sitting here blogging. LOL
*I haven't done any laundry yet. *sigh*
*I cannot WAIT to get into our new house where we'll actually have ROOM for everything where I'll be excited about cooking, cleaning, and laundry instead of dreading it. This can not happen fast enough. Hurry up house! =)
Ok, I'm outy. Is this post format totally annoying? Cuz it's really easy to write in bullet points instead of a story-like. =)
I will be better about keeping ya in the loop about everything. I WILL have a new house with central air before my birthday on July 7th. That is my goal! Yay! =)
