Where's the OFF switch?!?!
I have SO many things running through my mind right now! I have no idea how I'm gonna fall asleep tonight.
Wasted Talent
Saw Mr. Schneider (college saxophone teacher) today!
Went to Safeway for lunch yesterday. Saw a guy that said, "Hi Becci!" Yeah....no clue who it was.
I, of course, pretended I knew him, "Hi! How are you?"
"Good. I saw Paul the other day, he's not doing so good health-wise. I was at the doctor's when I saw him."
Ok, so when someone tells you that your retired teacher is having health problems and isn't doing well, you get a little concerned....after all, he recently had a quadruple bypass surgery and a 90-something% blockage of his carotid artery! So, I responded to an email forward he sent asking him how he was, blah blah blah. He's got spinal stenosis and a mild form of leukemia. Not to mention the heart surgery and he said he had an ocular stroke and lost the vision in his right eye! =( But, he says everything's under control and he seems like himself. So, he's good to go for now! Playing away!
Anyway, I've completely digressed from the main purpose of this post.....
My parents bought a tenor sax from him for a Christmas present for me back in the day with the stipulation of that he could buy it back when I didn't need it anymore (it's a family heirloom). So, today after emailing back and forth a bit, I sold it back to him.
Could someone please explain why I've wasted my talent and have stopped playing my saxophone???? I miss it! What a waste! It's really hard to be motivated to practice my sax when I have no outlet to play it. I just need to DO IT. Jared told me the other day that I need to pick it back up and Hubbs is always telling me to pick it back up.
So, I need some sort of a goal, or a reason to practice. What I am gonna do? Perform for Mr. Hippo, Lambie, and the rest of my sheep collection?
***
I've got so much on my mind right now about what goals I want to set and accomplish. I keep saying, "If only I didn't have to work...." Well, dammit, I have to work, so I'm gonna need to find a way to do it and lead a normal life. Unless, of course, I buy a Powerball ticket today and win the jackpot at 10:00 tonight. =)
Ok, I better get to work, just wanted to get these thoughts in a post while they were in the forefront of my mind. Is forefront all one word?
Better get some goals set!!!

Love/Hate
Summer and I have a love/hate relationship...
LOVE:
*Fresh fruits and veggies.....especially, cherries, peaches, and tomatoes!
*Grillin' season! Chicken is my fav!
*Mountain biking in Keystone. Don't get to go very often, but it's GREAT when we do!
*Steve's busy season = more money = easy to pay the bills. =)
*Long days
*vacations!
HATE:
*heat
*sun
*heat
*lack of clouds
*hot temperatures
*having to wear sunscreen
*sweating ALL the time
Is it too much to ask that the temp stays right at 70? Yeah, probably so....but a girl can dream, can't she?!?
------
Might as well do some updates while I'm here, yeah?
*Haven't lost any more weight, but am maintaining the 10 lbs loss I had, give or take a couple of pounds
*Performed our All American show for the 4th time last night to the most enthusiastic audience we've ever sang for! They LOVED it! ....and we loved it! It's so motivating. It just gets you so pumped up! I sang like crappola, but I didn't even care cuz they were just lost in the moment from the 1st beat of Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy when we snapped to attention. Love love love! That is why we do this.
*Realized I've only ridden my bike once this season....maybe twice. Why? See my love/hate list above. I'm very sensitive to the heat due to the fact that I don't sweat like a normal person would so I get overheated really easy. The only time it's comfortable to ride is at like 6:00 in the morning. You KNOW I'm not a morning person, so ....yeah. Hate it!!! Wanna ride!!!! Then, it cools down and we get rain! Sheesh.
*I really wanna get some energy-efficient curtains for our dining room. After going to Ross today and not finding ANY matching panels that didn't make me throw up a little in my mouth, I'm realizing I'm going to have to drop some serious coin if I wanna get matching panels that I like. Not to mention, I think they'll look weird if they're the only curtains downstairs. So, ...yeah. Have no clue How I'm gonna get around that. Well, I could always go with the yellow or blue curtains I saw at Ross. *barf*
*Still deciding what I wanna do today. The downstairs is a wreck so, we'll probably end up cleaning that. Yay. So looking forward to that. Why does crap have to accumulate so fast?!?! It's like, we get it squeaky clean then all it takes is a shirt or some shoes and KA-BOOM! A bomb goes off and there's shit everywhere. Ugh. I wish we had a ginormous closet that we could just store stuff in right there in the living room. A walk-in closet for living rooms! I'm going to start designing houses like that! I'll make a fortune! It'll have lots of hooks for purses, gym bags, coats, hats, etc, lots of shelves and a big table-desk-like space for mail, receipts, and various papers.....WITH a shredder. =) Oh hell yes. Now I just need a few thousand dollars to complete remodel our living room! LOL Ooo! Another idea! Ok, so...there's a regular front door to the house where you go in and out. But, there's also another door adjacent to the front door that goes through the walk-in closet then to the living room! I'm adding that in cuz once I'm in the door, the crap lands where it lands. I wouldn't want my company going through the closet, so there will be two doors! Man, I'm smart! Hee hee!
*Alright, I'm outy. Gonna go wake Steve up from his nappy poo and have some yummy lunch!
